Notes from the Principal
This year we have a partnership with the Achievement Network (ANet), along with all DPS schools. This has given us great tools for assessments and guidance for using these assessments in order to better meet students' needs. During the week of December 7th, students in grades 2-5 will be taking the second round of ANet assessments. Please make sure not to schedule any appointments for your children during this week.
Our school looks great this month adorned with personal holiday decorations from our students. Thanks for sharing your family traditions with us. We wish you a warm, safe and fun winter break. Don't forget to read, read, read!

Chocolate Fundraiser Results
A huge thank you for all the students and families who sold chocolates during November. We raised over $3,900 towards our new school marquee- wow! Stay tuned for our next opportunity to raise funds for a new sign for our school. We are well on our way.
*If your child sold chocolates- please come pick them up in the office between Wednesday, 12/9 and Friday, 12/11, along with student prizes.
Winter Gear Donations
We are in need of winter coats, hats and gloves for our students. If you have some extras, please consider donating them to Eagleton. Also, if you are in need of winter gear for your child, we would be glad to help. Please talk to Mr. E or Ms. Candace in the office if you would like assistance.
Parenting Partners- coming soon
We are all partners in the parenting process. We are excited to be able to provide an opportunity to learn from one another throughout a series of Parenting Partners classes. Eagleton teachers and staff will be hosting this wonderful opportunity very soon. We will have refreshments and child care, and two sessions to accommodate our Spanish-speaking and English-speaking parents. We hope you can join us for this awesome opportunity! More information to come.
Playing Outside!
We want our students to have as much physical activity as possible. Living in Colorado, we know the Winter can bring lots of cold weather. We want to give our students the opportunity to play outside whenever possible. If the sun is shining and the temperature is above 30, we will let the kids play outside. If they are dressed properly with a winter coat, hats, gloves and snow boots, they will be allowed to play in the snow. Otherwise, they will have to either stay on the cleared black top or stay inside.
*Consider walking to school whenever possible, even in the snow. We can reduce traffic, be more active and help the environment!

Notas de la Directora
Este año tenemos una asociación con "Achievement Network" (ANet), junto con todas las escuelas de DPS. Esto nos ha dado una gran herramienta para las evaluaciones y orientación para el uso de estas evaluaciones con el fin de satisfacer mejor las necesidades de los estudiantes. Durante la semana del 07 de diciembre, los estudiantes en los grados 2-5 estarán tomando la segunda ronda de evaluaciones de Anet. Por favor, asegúrese de no programar las citas para sus hijos durante esta semana.
Nuestra escuela se ve muy bien este mes adornada con decoraciones navideñas personales de nuestros alumnos. Gracias por compartir sus tradiciones familiares con nosotros. Le deseamos un descanso cálido, seguro y divertido invierno. ¡No se olvide de leer, leer, leer!

Resultado de la venta de Chocolates
Muchas gracias a todos los estudiantes y familias que vendieron chocolates durante Noviembre. Recaudamos más de $ 3,900 para nuestro nuevo letrero- ¡WOW! Estén atentos a nuestra próxima oportunidad de recaudar fondos para un nuevo proyecto para nuestra escuela. Estamos en el camino correcto.
* Si su hijo vendió chocolates- por favor venga a recogerlos en la oficina entre el Miércoles, 12/09 y Viernes, 12/11, también se entregarán los premios a los estudiantes.
Donacion de abrigos y accesorios de invierno
Estamos en la necesidad de abrigos de invierno, gorros y guantes para nuestros estudiantes. Si usted tiene algunos extras, por favor considere donar a Eagleton. Además, si usted está en necesidad de ropa de invierno para su hijo, estaremos encantados de ayudarle. Por favor hablar con el señor E o Sra. Candace en la oficina si necesita ayuda.
Compañeros en la crianza- Llegará pronto
Todos somos compañeros en el proceso de crianza de los hijos. Estamos muy contentos de poder ofrecer la oportunidad de aprender unos de otros con una serie de clases para padres. Maestros y personal de Eagleton serán los anfitriones de esta maravillosa oportunidad muy pronto. Tendremos refrescos y cuidado de niños, y dos sesiones para dar cabida a nuestros padres que hablan español y que hablan inglés. ¡Esperamos que puedan acompañarnos en esta increíble oportunidad! ¡Jugando Afuera!
Queremos que nuestros estudiantes tengan tanta actividad física como sea posible. Viviendo en Colorado, sabemos que el invierno puede traer mucho tiempo frío. Queremos dar a nuestros estudiantes la oportunidad de jugar al aire libre siempre que sea posible. Si el sol brilla y la temperatura está por encima de 30, vamos a dejar que los niños jueguen al aire libre. Si ellos están vestidos correctamente con un abrigo de invierno, sombreros, guantes y botas de nieve, se les permite jugar en la nieve. De lo contrario, tendrán que permanecer en la parte superior seca o permanecer en el interior.
* Considere la posibilidad de caminar a la escuela siempre que sea posible. Podemos reducir el tráfico, ser más activos y ayudar al medio ambiente
