Welcome Back
Welcome to all the new families joining us this year and welcome back to our returning students. We hope you had a great summer and are ready to learn in our newly remodeled school! The school was super busy this summer with lots of construction work. We had the inner classrooms remodeled, and they look great! We also had new lighting and upgraded air systems throughout the school. You will notice just how bright our hallways are with new lights, new natural light and solar tubes throughout. Our library and technology lab have also been completely remodeled and they look incredible. We are still working to get the books on the shelves and the library back in order, so that area is still closed. Along with the incredible construction project, we also received new furniture! We are so excited to start this year with a fresh new look. Through the month of September, the construction crew will be working on the finishing touches. We will have a big grand opening celebration at Back to School Night on September 10th.

Early Release Day- every wednesday
Every Wednesday, our school day ends at 1:00. We use weekly Wednesdays for teacher collaboration, planning and professional development. We do have programs in place for students who cannot be picked up at 1:00. Parent permission slip is required if care is needed on Wednesdays after 1:00.
Visitors during school day
We are a secure school and your child's safety is most important to us. If you need to come into the school during the day you will need to press the door buzzer. Our office staff knows lots of families, but will still ask how they can help you and ask you to come to the office. All visitors are required to check in at the main office.
Food Service Information
We serve breakfast to all our students in classrooms after school starts every morning. Breakfast always includes an entrée with protein, fruit or juice and milk. Students don't have to eat, but we encourage them to. Breakfast is an important meal of the day and students can concentrate and learn better after eating breakfast. Breakfast is totally free to all students!
We offer students a salad bar with fresh fruits and vegetables during lunch along with lots of homemade nutritious food. Additionally students get a snack of fresh fruits or vegetables daily. We not only want our students to learn at Eagleton, but we want them to create healthy habits. Hot Cheetohs, Takis and other hot chips are not allowed in the cafeteria unless they are part of a complete lunch from home.
At this time we do not have space to invite parents to join students for lunch. After we settle into the lunch routine and we figure out where to fit some visitors, we will invite parents to come eat with their child once a week. Be on the lookout for information in upcoming Eagle's Nest Newsletter.
Please make sure you have filled out and turned in your free and reduced lunch application. Even if you don't think you qualify, we need you to complete the paperwork. The more submissions we have, the more accurate our student data is.

· Eagleton will send home a Thursday folder each week with important school and classroom information. Please send it back on Friday for the next week's communication.
· The Eagle's Nest parent newsletter will go home first Thursday of each month.
· Classroom newsletters will go home monthly.

Edition Especial – BIENVENIDO 2015-16
Bienvenidos
Bienvenidos todas las nuevas familias que se unen a nosotros este año y bienvenidos de nuevo a nuestros estudiantes que regresan. Esperamos que hayan tenido un gran verano y esten listos para aprender en nuestra escuela recién remodelada! La escuela estuvo muy ocupada este verano con una gran cantidad de trabajos de construcción. Teníamos las aulas interiores remodelando, y se ven muy bien! También tenemos nuevos sistemas de aire en toda la escuela y nuevas luces. Usted se dará cuenta de lo brillante de nuestros pasillos con nuevas luces, nueva luz natural y tubos solares. Nuestra biblioteca y laboratorio de tecnología también han sido completamente remodelados y se ven increíbles. Todavía estamos trabajando para poner los libros en los estantes y la biblioteca en orden, por eso el área todavía está cerrada. Junto con el proyecto de construcción increíble, también recibimos muebles nuevos! Estamos muy contentos de comenzar este año con una nueva mirada fresca. A través del mes de septiembre, el equipo de construcción estará trabajando en los toques finales. Vamos a tener una fiesta de inauguración la Noche de Regreso a la Escuela el 10 de septiembre.

Salida Temprana- cada miercoles
Todos los miércoles, nuestro día escolar termina a la 1:00pm. Utilizamos los miércoles semanales para colaboración entre los maestros, la planificación y el desarrollo profesional. Tenemos programas establecidos para los estudiantes que no pueden ser recogidos a la 1:00. Se requiere permiso de los padres si se necesita supervisión los miércoles después de la 1:00pm.
Visitantes durante el día escolar
Somos una escuela segura y la seguridad de su hijo es los más importante para nosotros. Si usted necesita venir a la escuela durante el día tendrá que pulsar el timbre de la puerta. Nuestro personal de la oficina conoce a muchas de las familias, pero aún, asi debemos preguntar cómo podemos ayudar y pedirle que venga a la oficina. Se requiere que todos los visitantes se registren en la oficina principal.
Información de servicio de alimentos
El desayuno se sirve a todos nuestros estudiantes en las aulas después que cominenza la escuela cada mañana. El desayuno siempre incluye un plato principal con proteínas, fruta o jugo y leche. Los estudiantes no tienen que comer, pero los animamos a que lo hagan. El desayuno es una comida importante del día y los estudiantes pueden concentrarse y aprender mejor después de comer el desayuno. El desayuno es totalmente gratuito para todos los estudiantes!
Ofrecemos a los estudiantes un bar de ensaladas con frutas y verduras frescas durante el almuerzo acompañado de comida nutritiva casera. Además los estudiantes reciben una merienda de frutas o verduras frescas todos los días. No sólo queremos que nuestros estudiantes aprendan, tambien queremos que desarrollen hábitos saludables. Hot Cheetohs, Takis y otros chips calientes no están permitidos en la cafetería a menos que sean parte de un almuerzo traido de casa.
En este momento no tenemos espacio para invitar a los padres a unirse a los estudiantes para el almuerzo. Después que nos instalemos en la rutina de almuerzo y que sepamos dónde acomodar a los visitantes, vamos a invitar a los padres a venir a comer con su hijo una vez a la semana. Esté atento a la información en el Nido del Águila en los próximo boletíns.
Por favor, asegúrese de que ha completado y entregado su solicitud de almuerzo gratis o precio reducido. Incluso si usted no cree que usted califica, lo necesitamos para completar el papeleo. Toda la documentación debe estar completada para tener todos los expedientes de los estudiantes listos.
