A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
You may have noticed a change in the way we have students entering the building in the morning. We have transitioned to a soft start. That means when then bell rings at 8:25, students begin entering the building and walk themselves to class. We expect students to arrive to class by 8:30. We have staff stationed in the hallways to supervise students as they walk themselves to class. We have noticed students coming in being responsible and respectful as they walk to class.
We are proud of all our Eagleton students!
We ask that parents still say goodbye to their children outside or in the cafeteria. We do not want parents to walk students to class. If you want someone to escort your child to class, let us know as we have student helpers who can help get others to class. Let us know if you have any feedback.

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
We are excited to offer several family engagement events this month. One of our goals this year is increasing family participation. We have a fun fundraiser at Skate City on Tuesday, 11/6. A Skate City bus leaves from Eagleton at 5:30 and will return to Eagleton around 8:30. The following week we have a fantastic family art night planned with the Denver Art Museum. Art Night is Tuesday, 11/13. Hope you can come for dinner and family fun!
Our parent and community SPF meeting will be on Thursday, 11/15 before school and after school. The SPF is the School Performance Framework and is essentially the school report card. The SPF parent report is getting sent home in early November. This parent meeting is an opportunity to learn more about how the school is performing and give your input on how to make it even better.
DAY OF THE DEAD
We have been selected to participate in the Day of the Dead event at the Denver Botanic Gardens this Saturday, November 3rd from 9-4. We invite you to share photos of your departed loved ones to be placed on an altar set up for the Eagleton community. Please drop off your photos in the office by Friday afternoon. Your photos will be handled very carefully and will be returned to you by Tuesday, November 6th. We hope you join us at the Botanic Gardens to celebrate our loved ones who have passed.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY
Picture Retake Day will take place on November 15th from 9 to 11. If your student was absent or you are unsatisfied with your student picture this will be your opportunity to get new pictures. Please make sure to return your picture packet back on this day (11/15) to get new pictures.
PARENTING PARTNERS
We hope you'll join us for the next sessions of Parenting Partners at Eagleton! We know parenting is tough and we want to help.
Parenting Partners is one of the most widely used parent training systems in North America, with seventeen years of reliability. UNA NOTA DE LA DIRECTORA
Es posible que haya notado un cambio en la forma en que los estudiantes ingresan al edificio por la mañana. Hemos hecho la transición a un comienzo suave. Eso significa que cuando suena la campana a las 8:25, los estudiantes comienzan a entrar al edificio y caminan solos hacia la clase. Esperamos que los estudiantes lleguen a clase a las 8:30. Tenemos personal estacionado en los pasillos para supervisar a los estudiantes mientras caminan a la clase. Hemos notado que los estudiantes son más responsables y respetuosos cuando caminan a clase.
¡Estamos orgullosos de todos nuestros estudiantes de Eagleton!
Pedimos a los padres que se despidan de sus hijos fuera o en la cafetería. No queremos que los padres acompañen a los alumnos a clase. Si desea que alguien acompañe a su hijo a la clase, avísenos y contamos con ayudantes estudiantiles que pueden ayudar a que otros asistan a clase. Háganos saber si tiene algún comentario.

OPORTUNIDADES DE COMPROMISO FAMILIAR
Estamos muy contentos de ofrecer varios eventos de compromisos familiares este mes. Una de nuestras metas este año es aumentar la participación familiar. Tenemos un divertido evento para recaudar fondos en Skate City el martes 11/6. Un autobús de Skate City saldrá de Eagleton a las 5:30 y regresará a Eagleton alrededor de las 8:30. La semana siguiente tenemos una fantástica noche de arte familiar planeada con el Museo de Arte de Denver. La noche del arte es el martes, 11/13. Esperamos que pueda venir a cenar y divertirse en familia!
Nuestra reunión de padres y comunidad SPF será el jueves, 11/15 antes de la escuela y después de la escuela. El SPF es el Marco de rendimiento escolar y es esencialmente el informe escolar. El informe de los padres de SPF se enviará a casa a principios de noviembre. Esta reunión de padres es una oportunidad para aprender más sobre el desempeño de la escuela y dar su opinión sobre cómo mejorarlo aún más.
EL DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS
Hemos sido seleccionados para participar en el evento del Día de los Muertos en el Jardín Botánico de Denver este sábado, 3 de noviembre de 9-4. Lo invitamos a compartir fotos de sus seres queridos difuntos para colocarlos en un altar establecido para la comunidad de Eagleton. Por favor, deje sus fotos en la oficina el viernes por la tarde. Sus fotos se manejarán con mucho cuidado y se le devolverán el martes 6 de noviembre. Esperamos que se una a nosotros en el Jardín Botánico para celebrar a nuestros seres queridos que han fallecido.
RETOMA DE FOTOS
El Día de Retoma de Fotos se llevará a cabo del 15 de noviembre de 9 a 11. Si su estudiante estuvo ausente o no está satisfecho con su foto de estudiante, esta será su oportunidad de obtener nuevas fotos. Por favor, asegúrese de devolver su paquete de fotos en este día (15/11) para obtener nuevas fotos.
